We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join a team in the Construction industry, located in Toronto
Title: PART-TIME Accountant
Location: Toronto
Industry: Construction
Type: 6 months contract, potential to extend. Part-time 15-20 hours only. Please DO NOT apply if you are looking for full-time hours.
Do you have experience with full-cycle accounting?
Are you proficient with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Formulas, etc..)?
Are you comfortable working with manual processes and cheque payments?

Responsibilities
In this Part time - Accountant role in Toronto , you will be responsible for the following:
- Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices in ERP accurately.
- Prepare and execute timely payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile AP sub-ledgers, vendor statements, and bank accounts regularly.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and disputes.
- Ensure AP processes comply with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Generate and analyze AP reports in ERP to monitor payment cycles and cash flow.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline AP processes.
- Assist in the month-end closing process with AP-related journal entries and reports.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
In this Part time - Accountant role in Toronto, you will be required to have the following:
- Minimum 2 years of experience processing full-cycle accounting, Accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Experience with MS Excel including (v/h/xlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
- Previous experience working in a similar industry is an asset.
- Must be willing to work part-time hours, minimum 2 days per week (weekdays only). This role does not have the potential to turn full-time.
