About the job:
Key responsibilities:
1. Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions
2. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of transactions
3. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
4. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
6. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
7. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
8. Review and process expense reports to ensure they align with company policies
+. Monitor and manage petty cash transactions
10. Prepare financial summaries and support documentation for management reviews
11. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement
12. Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
13. Help implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls
14. Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing and data entry
15. Assist with budgeting and forecasting tasks as needed
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. 1 or more years of accounting experience or relevant internship experience preferred
3. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
7. Excellent organizational and communication skills
8. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the company
