As the Procurement Support Lead, you will guide our purchasing operations and ensure alignment with global standards, playing a key role in driving G+D toward achieving strategic objectives and substantial growth in the Australian market. With one direct report, you will leverage your procurement expertise to enhance our supply chain and contribute to our legacy of innovation and quality. Your responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Direct and uplift our team, promoting an environment of growth, compliance, and excellence
System and Process Optimisation: Take charge of our ERP systems; your strategic vision will ensure their flawless function and continuous improvement
Contract Management: From negotiation to management, you'll ensure our contracts are not just agreements but strong safeguards protecting G+D’s interests
Supplier Relationships: Develop rich relationships with suppliers ensuring a procurement cycle that’s as efficient as it is effective
Strategic Synergy: Work cross-departmentally to join procurement with overall business goals, ensuring a seamless operational flow
Financial Awareness: Your keen eye will oversee our procurement budgets, ensuring every dollar spent is a dollar invested in our success
Innovative Initiatives: Lead projects that not only meet but anticipate market shifts, keeping G+D ahead of the curve
Quality and Compliance Vigilance: Uphold our high standards, making sure that every procurement decision aligns with our core values and quality benchmarks
Customer-Centric Procurement: Balance the needs of our customers with internal requirements, ensuring procurement strategies align with customer expectations and business goals

About you
Experience: At least 5 years in procurement within a relevant industry, backed by a proven track record of strategic procurement success. Experience in a global company working with suppliers in multiple countries (preferential but not essential)
Skill Set: Superior skills in contract negotiation, ERP systems, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and procedures
Leadership: A natural leader, ready to mentor and inspire a team towards excellence
Analytical Knowhow: A problem-solving mindset with sharp analytical skills to navigate and optimise complex procurement landscapes
Communication: Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and suppliers alike
Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification; additional certifications in supply chain or procurement management are a plus
