YMCA of Northern Alberta is a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community by creating life-enhancing opportunities for growth and development of all people in spirit, mind and body. We actively seek a results-oriented Program Manager for our Eagle Ridge Community Centre to provide leadership in the development, delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement of YMCA programs and services. This includes supervising staff, ensuring high program quality, managing budgets and resources, and overseeing facility operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to meet emerging community needs, internal standards, regulatory requirements and support the YMCA’s mission. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for community service, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Essential Functions
Lead & Inspire: Oversee the recruitment, coaching and management of staff, creating a skilled and motivated team. Manage the performance cycle in alignment with YMCA protocols.
Deliver Program Excellence: Ensure programs consistently align with YMCA and stakeholder standards while meeting current and emerging community needs. Implement best practices and continuous quality improvement strategies. Identify potential risks to program quality and evaluation and collaborate with leadership on mitigation strategies.
Financial Management: Develop, manage and monitor approved budgets to meet contractual obligations and program priorities while driving strategic goals.
Facility Management: Manage facility operations to ensure meeting all YMCA standards. Collaborate with Asset to ensure timely and effective completion of facility tasks, refurbishment and capital projects
Build Relationships: Cultivate positive partnerships with staff and external stakeholders to strengthen community connections.
What You'll Need for This Job
Education: A degree in Recreation, Human Services or related field
Experience: Minimum 5 years directly related professional experience in community programming delivery, service management and administration, 3 of which should be at a supervisory level
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent leadership, communication, program development and facility management
Strong understanding of quality assurance practices, financial management and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and community partners
Integrity: Ability to pass a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
