Blyvon is seeking an experienced Team Leader / Assistant Manager with deep expertise in property management accounting, asset management, and team leadership. This role will oversee daily financial operations for a portfolio of properties, ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, mentor a team of accounting professionals, and implement best practices to strengthen financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review property-level financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage tenant billing, invoicing, and collections, including rent rolls, common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, and other property-specific income streams.
• Track and allocate operating expenses, utilities, repairs & maintenance, and capital expenditures to individual properties accurately.
• Maintain lease abstracts, monitor lease terms, and ensure correct accounting treatment for lease-related transactions.
• Handle vendor invoices, payments, and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, and inter-company accounts across multiple properties.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at both property and portfolio levels.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property-level and portfolio-level financial reports for management and investors.
• Ensure timely reporting of financial results to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
• Experience: 7+ years in accounting/finance, including at least 3 years in property management or real estate investment accounting.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Expertise in property-level accounting, including CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, lease accounting, rent rolls, vendor payments, and expense allocations.
• Proven experience in reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in team management, mentorship, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Yardi Voyager 8 required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to implement scalable accounting processes, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
