Accounts Assistant - West London (Hybrid) - £32-35k

We’re working with an independent Property Management company based in West London.

They manage blocks of flats within the M25 and collect service charges and ground rents from residents which pay for essential services relating to the communal parts.

Within their Accounts Team they now require an Accounts Assistant as follows:
• Working full time, Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with 1 day working from home once settled (if desired)
• Carry out all basic accounting procedures to ensure that financial information is accurate and available on a timely basis.
• Perform daily tasks such as processing cheques, saving scanned cheques, and handling cheque deposits.
• Generating credit notes, utility, and insurance recharges for tenants/client accounts
• Issuing monthly rental demands and quarterly rent and service charge demands to tenants and clients
• Managing client statements and updating receipts
• Addressing and resolving queries via phone and email
• Assisting in reporting up to trial balance
• Reviewing expenditure to ensure it has been coded correctly in line with budget.
• Handling ad hoc tasks, bank reconciliations etc

The suitable Accounts Assistant will ideally come from a property accounting background (i.e. will have worked in a Property environment), have a genuine interest in Real Estate and some understanding of rents and service charges.

In addition, the Accounts Assistant will have excellent communication skills, strong EXCEL skills and good all round IT awareness with the ability to pick up new systems.

Salary for the successful Accounts Assistant will range from £32-35k to start with reviews and uplifts based on tenure and performance.
