The Position
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Assurance Team based in Wiri, Manukau. This is a full-time permanent position within our Quality Assurance Team working primarily during the day shift, however, there must be flexible to work other shifts when required.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure the day-to-day QMS activities are robust and accurate. You will proactively work to improve quality site-wide through training, coaching and interventions in manufacturing.
More specifically you will:
Conduct daily quality inspections from raw materials to finished goods.
Conduct Sanitation pre-operational inspection daily
Non-conformance reporting and investigation
Conduct micro sampling
Verification of CCPs and QCPs daily
Conduct Finished products adherence checks
Manage retention samples
Complete and maintain Food Safety records as required
Conduct calibration checks
Conduct daily GMP inspections
Chemical Handling
Pest Control check
Participate in conducting Quality Training
Verification of end of shift cleaning.
Finished product released
Familiarity with various software packages is an advantage, along with advanced Excel knowledge.

Minimum 1 year experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally FMCG
Ability to capture and analyse data
Excellent food safety knowledge
Excellent and confident communicator
