Purpose of Role

· Quality Assurance team is dedicated to ensuring the best quality of software products are developed

and Customer Experience is enhanced. Quality Engineering team builds, reuse and supports technology

agnostic automated frameworks, supporting Legacy, Digital, Data and NextGen platforms.

· We are seeking a Test Architect who has passion for using technology to develop and maintain solutions

for General Insurance. Experience in General Insurance products and Risk systems is preferred.

Key Accountabilities

· Test Architect is a developer with the responsibility of developing frameworks and tools to test

products for functional and non-functional testing, Data Analytics testing and any non-functional

testing like (Security/Performance/accessibility)

· It is a unique role, providing immense opportunity to design and develop and Test wide range of

Applications.

· Test Architect should be able to understand software architecture, debug code, automate repetitive

tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our quality process.

· Our Test Architect work directly with both Software Development Engineers and Product Owners to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency. They also understand customer usage models and can develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios.

· Our Test Architect is also responsible to groom junior SDETs, provides oversight by incorporating

technical and business domain knowledge. Self-educates to gain a comprehensive understanding of relevant development languages, runtimes, frameworks, database platforms, and tooling.

Technical Requirements

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 10+ years of Experience.

· Experience of around 4-6 years of relevant experience in Testing Center of Excellence.

· A firm understanding of Digital, Mobile and Data automation.

· The ability to develop strategies, test plans, and test cases around Legacy and NextGen technologies

(Mobile, React, etc.).

· Exceptional programming skills in one or more than one languages – JAVA, Python.

· Ability to perform Proof of Concepts, Tool feasibility, tool comparisons.

· The ability to do gap analysis, project assessment and build improvement and implementation

roadmaps.

· Working on Test Strategy for Complex Data Projects.

· Good understanding of Software Architecture. Certifications like TOSCA are added advantage.

· Good working knowledge on multiple DB systems, (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgresql).

· Advanced skills with SQL queries, stored procedures, and test scripting to delete, define, load, and

merge data for tests.

· Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, Technical Managers and developers.

· Use of a variety of data quality verification tools.

· Testing on Snowflake & AWS Data Migrations.

· Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

· Build automation suite to support DevOps implementation, using Jenkins, GitHub.

· Experience in Agile/ Scrum and in-sprint automation models.
