About the Role
Looking for a nursing role with real community impact? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our wonderful District Nursing Service based at Whakatāne Hospital, supporting clients across the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
This is a permanent part-time position (0.6 FTE – 24 hours per week), offering flexibility, autonomy, and variety. While this role is primarily based in Whakatāne, the role includes travel to Ōpotiki when service needs require. You will work independently in people's homes and communities, providing holistic care, managing complex needs, and promoting independence and well-being

About you
To be successful in the role, we are looking for an individual who is a confident, adaptable nurse who thrives on variety and autonomy. You will bring clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to community-based care.
What you will bring:
Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
A minimum of two years' nursing experience
Recent experience in district, community, or acute care (preferred)
Excellent assessment skills and confidence managing a varied caseload
Full NZ driver's licence
Working for Health New Zealand
