Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary ($113,574 – $125,720 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

As a Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting to senior stakeholders and ensuring compliance with national disaster funding requirements.


About the role

In this role, you will support the delivery of timely, accurate, and strategic reporting across disaster recovery funding to strengthen financial oversight and drive continuous improvement. As the Reporting Analyst, you will:

Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports (fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) in line with Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) requirements.
Analyse agency-submitted data, conduct reconciliations, and generate high-level reports for senior stakeholders.
Work closely with agencies to align forecasts with approved expenditure limits and ensure compliance with DRFA 2018.
Respond to ad hoc reporting requests to support briefings, media releases, and audit queries.
Maintain effective working relationships with agencies, NEMA, and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to financial administration, funding submissions, and process improvement initiatives.
Support project delivery by preparing implementation plans, managing change, and coordinating testing and training.

If you cannot access the role description, please contact [email protected] You:You’re a collaborative and detail-oriented analyst with a passion for financial reporting and stakeholder engagement.Experience in financial reporting or funding allocation within a complex government or disaster recovery context.Strong analytical skills and ability to present complex financial data to senior audiences.Familiarity with reporting tools and systems and understanding of DRFA or similar funding frameworks, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate results under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.Essential requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Economics or Commerce or other relevant field and membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia or IIA Australia, or equivalent relevant experience.Make a meaningful contribution to the State’s disaster recovery efforts and help drive financial accountability and transparency across critical funding programs. About the AgencyThe NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is a statutory corporation within the NSW Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the RA will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government.
