Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee daily operations and financial performance of commercial/residential properties. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, solid property management knowledge, and the ability to build positive tenant relationships. They are organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and tenant satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee all aspects of daily portfolio operations, ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance.
· Maintain fire safety systems and life-safety equipment in accordance with regulatory standards; coordinate required inspections and certifications.
· Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and lease compliance issues; ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.
· Track, prioritize, and ensure completion of maintenance requests.
· Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g., floods, fires, power outages), coordinating repairs and communicating updates to tenants and ownership.
· Conduct regular market analysis to remain competitive with leasing strategies and rental rates.
· Support marketing and leasing efforts to maintain high occupancy levels.
· Pre-screen prospective tenants, process rental applications, conduct credit/background checks, and evaluate financial qualifications.
· Administer all lease agreements, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, renewals, amendments, and ensuring compliance with lease terms and conditions.
· Review, execute, and verify all lease documentation for new tenants, renewals, and tenant move-outs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Collect rent and additional charges, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on delinquencies in accordance with company policy.
· Prepare and issue notices for non-compliance, default, or eviction when necessary; attend hearings and coordinate with legal counsel as required.
· Develop and maintain strong tenant relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and exceptional customer service.
· Maintain accurate property records, tenant files, and documentation in compliance with company standards.
Qualifications and Skills
· Valid class 5 license and a vehicle is required
· 3+ years’ experience in property management is preferred
· Ability to handle emergencies and on-call situations
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Experience with property management software
· Strong time management and organizational skills
