Toast is growing in India! In addition to our software development team, we are building a captive Finance shared services team. The Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will provide support to the Revenue team by managing the local team and supporting daily activities and month-end tasks. This role will collaborate with the Global Revenue Accounting Leaders to execute their strategies and ensure consistency in Toast’s global accounting processes. We are looking for candidates with an accounting or finance degree and management experience working for a publicly traded company.
About this roll (Responsibilities)
Support the global Revenue team by managing the local accounting team performing daily accounting operations including month-end close responsibilities
Establish team goals and conduct performance reviews of accounting team members
Be the key point of contact for transferring responsibilities to the local accounting team
Perform various month-end tasks including approving journal entries, reviewing balance sheet
reconciliations, and completing ad-hoc assignments
Resolve open reconciliation items and escalated issues in a timely manner
Run monthly and quarterly financial reports within NetSuite, Salesforce, and RevPro
Internal control and SOX testing
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure data integrity
Support, adhere to, and help maintain strong internal control policies and procedures
Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements including the automation of key responsibilities
Provide supporting schedules and documentation to internal and external auditors
Effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and management to drive sound business decisions
Support new system implementations by participating in UAT for accounting processes
Do you have the right ingredients? (Requirements)
8+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or equivalent certification is a must (ACCA/CA/CMA/CIMA etc.)
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing an accounting team responsible for month-end close tasks
Effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and management to drive sound business decisions
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Strong knowledge of revenue accounting standard ASC 606
Experience with cloud-based ERP/financial systems
Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
Flexible to work in shifts
Special Sauce (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)
Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and RevPro is highly desirable
Experience with accounting/financial reporting at a SaaS company
LEAN and Continuous Improvement mindset
