Good knowledge of accounting in ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Ensure that accounting activities are in compliance with accounting law and regulations (GAAP/IFRS). Guide business if needed.
• Guarantee that global financial policies are being applied. Communicate with relevant stakeholders.
• Supports in implementing improvements and global guidelines
• Work closely with Supervisor, Business, RAC/Satellite Manager, Consolidation and External reporting department
Responsibilities -
• Responsible for the execution of reliable, timely and complete specialist accounting tasks and activities as recorded in the Global Process Design and Standard Operating Procedures)
• Provide quality assurance on Balance Sheet (BS), Profit & Loss (P&L) and specifications for all Group provisions (Pension, Environmental, Rationalization, Decommissioning and Other Sundry)
• Review BS and P&L figures and variances on a monthly basis
• Create adjust specification (A-Forms)
• Prepare and perform monthly analysis to present to External reporting department
• Maintain, monitor and update the Environmental provision database (in excel)
• Maintain, monitor and update the Management Equity Plan database (in excel)
• Calculate and post quarterly adjustments to the Pension provisions and Management Equity plan
• Support the pension/environmental accounting specialist with the annual pension valuation process
• Support the pension/environmental accounting specialist with the annual environmental review process.
• Actively provide the group auditor (PWC) with required information
• Support local RAC’s and reporting department with quarterly holiday accrual
• Analyze salaries and wages on a monthly basis (group wide)
• Responsible that all the month end closing deadlines are met
