SEC Reporting Accounting Consultant
Location: North East Phoenix, 3 days on site/weel
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $60-$75/hr
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with GAAP for investor disclosures.
• Draft and submit SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports, utilizing Workiva and other financial reporting tools.
• Identify ways to improve financial reporting processes through automation and system upgrades, continuously refining workflows and controls.
• Serve as a key point of contact during external audits, coordinating responses to auditor requests and providing documentation to support financial statements.
• Work closely with teams across the organization, including third-party fund administrators, to ensure clear communication and collaboration on financial reporting matters.
• Support portfolio oversight, marketing, and due diligence teams by preparing and analyzing portfolio metrics for investor materials and disclosures.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices by engaging in ongoing training and professional development.
• Conduct research on technical accounting topics to ensure compliance with accounting standards and SEC regulations, contributing to accurate financial disclosures.
Ideal Background:
• Bachelor's in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of SEC reporting experience - 10K, 10Q, audit reporting experience
• Workiva highly preferred
