We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented English Teacher to join our Catholic secondary school, a

The successful candidate will be responsible for
delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across Key
Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love of
English and nurturing students’ skills in enquiry, analysis, and
critical thinking. You will work closely with a committed

English Department, contributing to
curriculum development and helping to drive forward
standards of teaching and learning.

Esland Shropshire School is seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.

The role:

As a SEN Teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. You will:
• Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
• Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:

Essential:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
• Experience teaching KS2 and across a range of subjects
• Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH
• Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
• Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Desirable:
• A degree or qualification in psychology
• A higher degree or equivalent

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Committed to continuous professional development
