About the Role
Oversight of taxation, financial reporting, and compliance functions.
Reporting to the Financial Controller.
This is a pivotal role ensuring the firm meets all regulatory and financial obligations while driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and lodgment of tax obligations, including income tax, FBT, GST, and international tax matters.
Provision of tax advisory support to partners and senior stakeholders on domestic and international tax matters.
Preparation of half-yearly and annual statutory accounts and management of the firm's financial audits.
Evaluation of new accounting standards and implementation of necessary changes.
Ensuring trust compliance in accordance with Law Society legislation across multiple states.
Driving process improvements to enhance financial controls and tax compliance.
About You
CA/CPA qualified with strong technical expertise.
Experience in a legal, professional services, or complex corporate environment is highly desirable.
Leadership experience, with the potential to mentor and develop a team.
Candidates with a business services/tax background will be highly favoured.
