Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Oversee all financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
· Lead and mentor finance professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
· Manage preparation and filing of TDS, TCS, and income tax returns. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax return preparation.
· Respond to income tax notices, queries, and assessments.
· Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
· Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Develop and implement internal controls and procedures.
· Conduct periodic internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
· Mentor and train junior accounting staff members, providing guidance and support.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field;
· MBA or professional accounting certification preferred.
· Minimum 10 years' experience in financial accounting, taxation, and compliance roles.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
· Thorough understanding of TDS, TCS, income tax laws, and compliance requirements.
· Experience in responding to income tax notices and resolving disputes. Knowledge of ICFAI, MCA, ROC regulations.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, tally prime).
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and financial modelling.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
