Purpose of the role
Working as part of a broad finance team that incorporates a site-based Finance and business analysis planning function and reporting as well as consolidated financial reporting and analysis to our head office. The post holder will be provided partnering opportunities within the various finance functions to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives. The post holder is expected to be well-versed in the relevant best practice guidelines of the countries they are responsible for.
Most importantly, as part of the team, you will also work collaboratively across several functional areas and act as a trusted partner to the business across the APAC region.
Regional Reporting
Responsible for consolidation and monthly regional management reporting, including Stravis submission. Ensure timely submission of reporting pack to Japan head office. Ensure accurate disclosure requirements under IFRS Perform monthly analytical reviews and review financial results Take ownership of intercompany transaction/balances review and settlement on intercompany balances. Reviewing reporting deck as required for management monthly and quarterly meetings
Divisional reporting
Supervise and review weekly and monthly management reports, including accounts receivable reporting Prepare segmented profitability reporting, regional PL & BS reports etc Supervise monthly analytical reviews to make sure consistency between accounting and business software Support requests for analysis from both finance and company business leaders Work closely with other business leaders to prepare quarterly budgets and forecasts as required
System management
Maintenance of the accounting system to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
General
Respond to internal and external queries or requests and provide advice and guidance as required Maintain records on the appropriate database Support the Commercial Finance manager in the review, update, communication of and compliance with relevant Company Policies and procedures Periodically review Data Protection regulations to ensure compliance across the organization Identify any areas of concern or opportunities All other duties assigned as appropriate
Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure
Business / Accounting / Commerce degree qualified, with majors in accounting or finance desirable At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced finance role Experience working across sites with multiple stakeholders not always physically visible Experience managing high volume workload in a changing environment Knowledge of industry and professional best practices and application Demonstrable experience in advising various management levels and capacity to plan, lead and negotiate. High proficiency in the English language both written and verbal Quickly understands business issues, data challenges and reporting/workforce analytical needs. Intermediate working knowledge in MS Excel

Role Requirements
This is a FTC role for 8 months to cover maternity leave. Whilst the contracted hours for the role are +AM to 6PM IST, Mon-Fri, the global nature of the business might require that some meetings and engagements will happen outside of these hours
