We're growing and we are looking to add a Senior Accountant to our fast-paced and scrappy Finance team.

Location: We're a remote-first company and looking to hire this person anywhere in the U.S. between the PST - EST timezone.

In the Senior Accountant role, you will:
• Monthly Close. You'll actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including maintaining the general ledger, preparing of journal entries, commissions and other higher level processes.
• Commissions. You'll manage the accounting commissions functions including building out the commission calculation of new plans, booking entries in accordance with ASC 606 and performing reconciliations. reports, and accruals.
• Reconciliations. On a monthly basis, you will conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance as well as be responsible for reconciling assigned balance sheets and income statement accounts.
• Payroll. You will be responsible for processing and allocating payroll entries across business units.
• Sales Tax. You will be responsible for our sales tax function and identifying new tax jurisdictions as we grow both in the US and abroad.
• Process Maintenance and Resolution. You have the ability to identify process/control weaknesses and work independently to find resolutions. You'll maintain company accounting procedures and processes and ensure compliance of all internal processes.
• Information Preparation. You'll assist in the preparation of financial information for taxes, audits, regulatory agencies, and necessary stakeholders.
Who you are:
• Experienced. 5 years of prior accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Accounting Professional. Knowledge of core accounting principles and how they relate to SaaS products and businesses. (CPA certification preferred, but not required.)
• Detailed Critical Thinker. You never miss a decimal point. You see beyond the numbers, thinking about how things fit into the big picture.
• Accounting Tech Savvy. You know your way around Sage Intacct, Avalara, and Stripe.
• Intermediate Excel User. You create and work with intricate spreadsheets, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Positive team player. You genuinely enjoy your work, bringing energy to the team everyday. Your positive, effective communication makes collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders a breeze.
• Process improvement extraordinaire. You love looking at how processes can be improved and made more efficient. You are not afraid to bubble those ideas up.
