Job Description
We are representing an IT services company to help them hire a Senior Accountant. The company is established and has strong, long-lasting partnerships with their clients. This is an onsite role near the central Houston area.
Senior Accountant - high level overview, duties include but are not limited to:
• Manage client agreements, invoicing, and renewals in system.
• Reconcile vendor statements with client invoices
• Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations of A/R, A/P, billing, and time entry.
• Ensure prompt collection of receivables and timely processing of payables.
• Maintain accounting controls, prepare financial statement and reporting
• Oversee inventory control, fixed assets, and capital equipment purchases.
• Variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Handle contract management, internal receivables, and financial analysis.
• Ensure confidentiality, file business taxes, and reconcile bank records.
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
• Must have great attention to detail and be a strong critical thinker
• 4+ years of experience in either general ledger accounting or public accounting audit
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Detailed oriented, critical thinker, problem solver, and collaborative
