We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Beverly, Massachusetts. This role will focus on SaaS accounting, specifically addressing ASC842 issues for clients and working closely with the development team to ensure new enhancements are correctly implemented. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize your CPA certification and 2 or more years of ASC842 experience to assist clients with their ASC842 issues
• Liaise with clients to understand and resolve their ASC842 related issues
• Collaborate with the development team to test new enhancements, ensuring their correctness
• Employ skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, ASC 842, and CPA
• Act as the final line of testing for any new enhancements made by the development team.• Must hold a CPA certification
• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standard
• Demonstrable experience in account and balance sheet reconciliation
• Proficient in bank reconciliations
• Possess skills in general ledger maintenance
• Capable of preparing accurate journal entries
• Experience with month-end close processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
