How you will make an impact
• Partake in various department-wide initiatives
• Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
• Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
• Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
• Self-starter and strong ethical standards
• Proven knowledge of internal control review
• Well-founded grasp of Fixed Asset Accounting
• Internal Control experience
• Foundational knowledge in Operating Budget
• Strong familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Solid understanding of financial reporting
• SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
• High attention to detail
• Skilled at time management
• Current and relevant ERP system experience
