We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, ensuring compliance with accepted policies and procedures, and providing strategic financial guidance based on financial data. With your expertise in general ledger and financial statements, you will play a crucial role in our organization's financial operations, contributing to our long-term financial success.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
• Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
• Expertise in General Ledger and Financial Statements.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA or CMA certification will be considered a plus.
