This role is based in Prague, Czech Republic. We will provide full immigration & relocation assistance. A unique opportunity to work and live abroad in the beautiful Prague City.

Position Summary - The group is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage specific areas of its several entities Accounting. The position is to perform all accounting activities across the specific entities including Month End Close preparation and reporting and also drives cooperation and communication with other functional leaders. The Senior Accountant works independently and to takes full ownership on the assigned areas of responsibilities. The position reports directly to the Accounting Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

·Perform the end-to-end activities in the Account-to-Report processes according corporate policies and in accordance to US GAAP standards

·Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting, meet all corporate and regional deadlines

·Develop subject matter expertise to provide guidance across the assigned Account-to-Report area

·Understand the balance sheet & income statement impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose material accounting judgmental entries when relevant

·Responsible for adjustments and resolves problems within company guidelines and given policy

·Performs account reconciliations for assigned area of responsibilities

·Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested

·Key user for specific finance systems including maintenance of respective approval matrix, training and support of department users and documentation

·Support on internal and external Audits including SOX Testing and internal controls

·Ensure documentations (Guidelines, Manuals) are complete and up-to-date

·Regular focus on Balance sheets to minimize open items

·Support group wide finance projects

Job Requirements:

Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, or Education Required:

·Higher degree in business administration or equivalent finance specific degree, CA/ICWA/ CFA/CS/ Mcom /MBA preferred.

·Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processes

·Account to Report knowledge and experience is preferred

·Experience in a multinational corporation desirable

·Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Italian language would be a plus

·Ability to identify areas of improvement and to drive necessary action to completion

·Demonstrate sound work ethics, respect and cultural sensitivity and awareness

· Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, US-GAAP, SOX is a significant advantage
