Job Description
Day to day finance-related activities, including bank reconciliations, project billing, project revenue and expense tracking and analysis, sales tax reconciliations and reporting
General accounting duties including revenue recognition assessments, project profitability monitoring, and sales tax filing and compliance
Prepare elements of monthly financial reporting variance analysis and summary charts
Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
Support company sales initiatives, including preparation and submission of invoices to partners and customers
Supporting other finance-related activities, including audits and ad-hoc cross-functional reporting
Participate in meetings as required with colleagues and clients
Please note that this is a hybrid role.
Experience & skills we look for:
3+ years of accounting experience
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Advanced knowledge of core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
Hands-on experience working with journal entries and account reconciliations
Experience with year-end and reporting
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written including report writing
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Solution-oriented mindset with a desire to take initiative to solve problems
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage deliverables
Solid organizational skills, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail
Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
Ability to work well within a team and individually
Flexible working hours may be required
Added Bonuses:
Working towards Chartered Professional Accountancy designation is preferred, but not required
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Microsoft Business Central ERP (financial reporting system)
