Senior Accountant- General Ledger

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Records, verifies and executes transactions according to process documentation. Handles issues related to the processes below.
• Closing Coordinator:
• Runbook Scoping, SSF RB Maintenance of Responsibility Group, AKM Table Maintenance
• Close of Accounts (OB52 & OKP1) & Runbook Monitoring
• Handling of OAF/Request for account extension/re-opening
• Preparation, coordination, and publishing of Closing Calendars to different stakeholders
• Escalation/follow up of closing issues including global technical issues
• Performance of GL Closing activities (GRIR, FCV, VAT Netting, AKM, AP Accrual, ARIEL/IFRS+)
• Training, Project Support and Continuous Improvement
• Data quality steering / stakeholder management Closing (JF/CCEN/Meetings)
• Company Responsible (depending on Team Structure) under General Ledger, Closing and Reporting.
• Analyzes and drives desirable results on the following focus areas within the set targets:
• Divergent Sign
• ATN Analysis
• BayJED Analysis
• Other topics that will be included in the focus areas
• Calculation of CIT and DT including ICS Controls whenever applicable.
• Provides audit support.
• Updates and creates documentations whenever required.
• Participates actively in meetings and Telcos relevant to the role
• Contributes to process improvements and documentation
• Supports Senior Associates in process issues related to activities assigned
• Coordinates with the different stakeholders in the preparation, update and review of specific documentation for the processes affected (ie. perform and review ICS controls)
• Prepares and conducts process specific trainings (ie. Modular Quarterly Trainings, ORA and FA Workshop)
• Performs other tasks as required by the role

WHO YOU ARE:
• B.Com/M.Com
• Good communication skill and analytical thinking.
• Ability to understand ambiguity and highlight to the next level for support
• Good level of ability to establish and maintain a sustainable stakeholder network.
• At least 2-3 years professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Taxes, Financial Analysis or similar fields.
• Fundamental understanding of global accounting, controlling and tax processes and their point of intersection with other business processes.
• Good level of knowledge of technical accounting, and financial reporting in a corporate environment according to IFRS and local GAAP.
