Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in Import/Export, ASI/PF, GST, TDS, TCS, ITR, and manufacturing to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record of success in a similar role, with extensive experience in handling import/export transactions and managing manufacturing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, with a strong focus on import/export and manufacturing transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions and data entry into accounting systems, with a particular emphasis on import/export and manufacturing modules
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for manufacturing accounts, including cost accounting reports and inventory valuation, and ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and TCS regulations
• Reconcile accounts related to import/export transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customs duty, GST, TDS, and TCS, while staying up-to-date with the latest changes in regulations and standards
• Monitor cash flow related to import/export and manufacturing accounts and ensure that all accounts are up-to-date, while also providing support to the finance team on all import/export and manufacturing-related matters
• Prepare and review annual tax returns, including ITR, and liaise with auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements related to import/export and manufacturing accounts
• Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards related to import/export and manufacturing accounts and provide guidance to the team on how these changes affect our operations
• Manage and mentor junior staff as needed, with a focus on import/export and manufacturing accounts and their associated compliance requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA or CA certification preferred
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role, with extensive experience in handling import/export transactions and managing manufacturing accounts
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to import/export and manufacturing accounts, with expertise in customs duty, GST, TDS, and TCS
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP, with extensive experience in import/export and manufacturing modules
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to import/export and manufacturing accounts, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms
• Ability to work well in a team environment and mentor junior staff related to import/export and manufacturing accounts
