Position Title: Senior Accountant and Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant and Operations Manager with specialized experience in e-commerce accounting and marketplace reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced Excel techniques and possess a strong understanding of financial principles and operational processes within the e-commerce industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and operational management related to our e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Accounting:
• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Marketplace Reconciliation:
• Oversee the reconciliation process for sales, refunds, fees, and other transactions across various e-commerce marketplaces.
• Collaborate with marketplace platforms to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of financial data.
• Develop and maintain reconciliation templates and procedures to streamline the reconciliation process.
• Operational Management:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize operational processes and workflows, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
• Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Advanced Excel Analysis:
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and techniques to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and develop financial models.
• Create customized reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and operations management, with a focus on e-commerce and marketplace reconciliation.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
