We are actively seeking a full-time Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our growing ******** practice located in Mumbai, India.
Job description:
The Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for supporting day to day accounting as well as month-end close and reporting, inventory accounting, as well as serving as a key business partner between the finance and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare month-end inventory and cost of goods sold valuation for both manufacturing and retail facilities.
• Responsible for preparing all month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain daily revenue and retail cash on-hand balances reconciliation.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger.
• Record bi-weekly payroll and reconcile to cash.
• Reconcile weekly wholesale revenues to accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of cash.
• Ensure transactions are coded accurately.
• Responsible for analyzing any significant month over month fluctuations in the financial statements.
• Work to drive operating expense improvement.
• Assist with auditor requests.
• Work with manufacturing and retail teams to drive control improvements.
• Assist Controller with monthly budget vs actual reports and analysis.
• Key liaison for forecast related tasks.
• Assist in cash planning and management.
• Collaborate with Controller and corporate AP team for processing vendor payments.
• Work to drive A/P process improvement.
• Filing monthly and quarterly sales and excise taxes
• Prepare memos, reports and financial analysis using Word and/or Excel as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
• 6-8 years of experience working in a public accounting firm.
• Experience preferably with client base includes Cultivators, Manufacturers, Labs, and Retail ******** providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
