Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables.
GST Compliance:
Handle all GST-related activities, including filing of returns and ensuring compliance with GST laws.
Conduct periodic GST reconciliations and audits.
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial performance against forecasts and provide insights.
Cost Accounting:
Oversee cost accounting procedures specific to the manufacturing industry.
Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
Financial Analysis:
Perform financial analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.
Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Internal Controls:
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GST regulations and compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is a plus.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
