Senior Accountant
The Sr Commissions Accountant is responsible for company's global sales commissions operation and accounting. In a time where our business is undergoing a transformation to scale to a billion-dollar SaaS operation, we are committed to achieving a balance between re-accelerating our revenue growth and maintaining profitability. This individual will be an integral participant in specific accounting and operational processes, including all sub-processes that drive the commission calculation and general ledger account reconciliations. The Sr Commissions Accountant is expected to work effectively with team members within Accounting and across departments to effect changes and complete special projects required as part of company-wide goals and objectives.

In this role you will...
• Play a critical part in commissions team's monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations and close procedures
• Be responsible for day-to-day commissions operation activities
• Support and manage requests and inquiries from sales, operation and talent teams regarding commissions and comp plan
• Prepare monthly reporting package, including by subsidiary and departments, in compliance with US GAAP or appropriate statutory requirements for our international subsidiaries
• Ensure commissions expense and deferred commissions are being accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and company's accounting policy
• Initiate, improve, and create efficiencies in systems and procedures
• Ensure controls are properly performed within the financial reporting and financial close process
• Coordination with external auditors for requests and inquiries
• Partner with sales and business operations team to address operational issues and challenges related to sales commissions
You have what it takes if you have...
• A bachelor's degree related to accounting/finance or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• The ability to work independently and be a team player
• Proven experience working in a team under pressure to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail combined with the ability to communicate the "big picture"
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Familiar with ERP and CRM systems
• Proficient in Office tools such as Word and Excel
Extra Dose of Awesomeness if you have...
• A CPA license (or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam) preferred
• Master's degree related to accounting/finance or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle ERP, Anaplan, and Salesforce
• Interest in understanding how IT systems and workflows are designed
• Experience with Enterprise SaaS business models
