Wolters Kluwer Financial Shared Services (FSS) focuses on building accounting expertise in a tower structure: Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and Order to Cash, and provides support to the businesses of Wolters Kluwer in a standardized, harmonized, and high-quality manner. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Utilize Accounting expertise to analyze and offer guidance on reporting accuracy and presentation, including providing recommendations to establish standard accounting policies
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and review of financial reports processes with the FSS NA and Divisional leaders
• Serve as a Tagetik consolidation application reporting liaison for FSS NA with the Corporate Consolidations team
• Drive simplification efforts and improve standardization in reporting, financial processes, and tools
• Partner with business stakeholders to learn business processes and identify risks and opportunities in resulting deliverables
• Contribute or lead accounting or cross-functional team projects to implement process improvements and financial system implementations or enhancements
• Ensure internal control environment documentation is in place and is being followed
• Support different groups with audit requests and data gathering
• Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Required Experience:
• 7-+ years of accounting experience, at least 3 years in reporting/consolidations
• Experience with financial reporting applications
• Advanced skills in core Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly
Highly Desirable Experience:
• Public accounting experience
• CA or CPA, or working toward the license
• Proficient knowledge of SAP or other major ERP systems
• Experience with BlackLine or other large account reconciliation applications
• Professional experience and awareness of the complexity, interactions, and dynamics within a large, multi-national company
• Competence with large data sets and knowledge of best practices for data cleanliness/integrity
• Process standardization expertise
