SaadiaDirect is an e-commerce business that recently acquired Lord & Taylor, New York & Company, Fashion to Figure, and Le Tote. These iconic brands sell apparel, accessories and home dcor online. The Senior Manager, Accounting role will be responsible for accounting and reporting functions across all Saadia Direct brands. We are looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful candidate to join our team.

Key responsibilities include implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures that ensure both the accuracy of the accounting records and the integrity of timely management and statutory reporting from such records. Critical to achieving these objectives are excellent people management and communication skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with the firms accounting policies, chart of accounts and internal procedures. Ensure GAAP compliance.
• Ensure that key General Ledger control accounts are reconciled to subsidiary ledgers (accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions/balances and fixed assets) on a monthly basis.
• Ensure timely issuance and accuracy of Quarterly financial statements, balance sheets and cash flows.
• Continual development and improvement of accounting policies, internal control procedures and systems in accordance with industry best practice. Protect assets and ensure proper authorization for all transactions.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting by legal entity, cost center, intercompany activity and individual reporting layers.
• Manage the fixed asset process and related sub-ledgers.
• Work across functional areas to monitor and challenge spending activities
• Assist Director of Accounting Services with external auditors during annual audit
• Partner in the Risk Management responsibilities for the business
• Ad-hoc reporting as required
• Supervision and development of accounting team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent finance and accounting skills with 8-10 years experience preferably in consumer products or specialty retail corporate accounting environment, with minimum 5 years management experience.
• Highly intelligent, self-motivated, strong problem solving skills
• Knowledge of documenting Internal Controls
• Excellent leadership and team building skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment
• Computer skills: Oracle Netsuite, Island Pacific G/L & F/A, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Hyperion
• Essbase, advanced Excel and Word skills. Financial modeling a plus.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance Required
• CPA and/or CMA Preferred
