seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Executive with a strong background in real estate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our real estate projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management:
• Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Reporting and Compliance:
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop and monitor project budgets, providing detailed analyses and reports to senior management.
• Forecast future financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to enhance profitability.
• Internal Controls:
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to established procedures and policies.
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience with real estate development and property management accounting.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations specific to the real estate industry.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and investment analysis.
