Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Golang and/or Python, with deep expertise in designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS. This is a fully remote opportunity for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced and modern engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and backend systems using Golang or Python.
• Lead backend architecture for new and existing projects, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture.
• Develop and manage serverless solutions on AWS Lambda, along with API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of cloud-native applications.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
• Monitor applications using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, DevOps, and frontend teams.
Must-Have Skills
• 7+ years of backend development experience with Golang and/or Python.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Services (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation/IaC).
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native patterns.
Good to Have
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with monitoring tools and log aggregation (CloudWatch Logs, ELK, Datadog).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum workflows and JIRA
