Job Title: Cyber Security Architect / Lead – Open Source & Cloud Security
Department: Information Security / Cybersecurity
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 10+ years in IT, including 6+ years in Cybersecurity
What You Will Do – Key Responsibilities:
Lead the definition and execution of cybersecurity vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Work closely with DevSecOps and InfoSec teams in CI/CD environments to implement security solutions.
Define and implement security architecture and tools leveraging open-source frameworks and technologies.
Design, build, and maintain cybersecurity solutions in cloud and open-source environments, including OpenStack.
Perform risk assessments, gap analysis, and audits based on frameworks like NIST, MITRE, Cloud Security Alliance, and ISO 27001.
Guide leadership on evolving security technologies, mitigation strategies, and threat intelligence.
Create executive-level security roadmaps for continuous improvement across people, processes, and tools.
Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices across the enterprise.
Conduct proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot testing of emerging open-source security solutions.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize cybersecurity solutions and configurations.
Drive improvement in organizational resilience to sophisticated cyberattacks through simulated exercises.
Education & Certifications:
Education: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Certifications (desired):
CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
Skills & Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of cybersecurity architecture, threat models, vulnerabilities, and risk management
Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), OpenStack, and DevSecOps pipelines
Programming/scripting knowledge in C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell
Strong Linux fundamentals, including kernel, threading, processes, and APIs
Experience with open-source security tools and frameworks
Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory, and data privacy requirements
Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
Effective communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and executive stakeholders
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on implementation of cybersecurity technologies in open-source environments
Strategic advisory role to leadership on security trends and investments
Proven ability to manage sophisticated threat simulations and define countermeasures
