Job Description
Position Description: The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for assisting with monthly accounting activity, including the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, account and variance analysis, and cost and margin analysis. The Senior Accountant will also work on ad-hoc projects with members of various functional teams to assist senior leadership.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the general accounting function as it relates to corporate and site level accounting operations, including account analysis/reconciliations, journal entry preparation and related support for accounting for Cash, SG&A expenses, accruals, prepaids, AR, AP, inventory, revenue, COGS and CIP/Fixed assets.
Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis /reconciliations on a monthly and/or quarterly basis
Review and analyze daily transactions/ job order closings for accurate revenue and COGS. Work with operations, supply chain and other functions to correct transaction/costing errors
Ensure appropriate classification of costs/expenses, in conjunction with AP

Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years of GL Accounting experience - Corporate level
Experience in the manufacturing industry
Experience working with standard costing systems
