Job Description:
This person will be responsible to execute month end close for various small entities, provide trial balance and analytics as needed and collaborate with multiple teams such as consolidation, intercompany and tax team.
• Execute month end close for various small entities that flow into global consolidation.
• Monthly review of financials with commentary over variances for Balance Sheet and P&L.
• Drive Entity Audits, Review Statutory Audit reports, address US GAAP vs Local GAAP differences.
• Post Journal entries for accruals, prepaids, payroll cost, interest costs etc for month close.
• Provide all relevant workings and supporting’s to Tax Team and Auditors.
• Work closely with Intercompany Team & Consolidation Team and onshore Stakeholders.
• Support for Consolidation activities, footnotes for quarterly and yearly audit as needed.
• Adhoc tasks, Simplification & Automation Projects.
Required Skills / Experience:
• Qualification and experience
• CA -- 1 to 5 years
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Controllership/Consolidation experience
• Work experience-
• Controllership or month end close experience.
• Experience of Standalone or consolidated financial statements.
• Experience to handle audit queries.
• Experience of MoM/YoY variance analysis for Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account.
• IS experience
• Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & QAD)
• Excellent excel skills
• Accounting Software knowledge (Trintech/Oracle/Hyperion )
• Soft skills:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate strongly and influence without authority
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
• Ability to build successful relationships across the organization through collaboration, consensus building and interpersonal effectiveness
• Flexibility and good team player
• Multi stake holder management
