This client is seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant who is detail oriented and self-motivated to become a leader in a fast-paced, dynamic, diverse, and innovative Corporate Tax Department. The Senior Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Department in all functions.
Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities
• Collaboration: Work closely with all of the finance & accounting team and get experience in areas of full cycle accounting in off season or any free time so as to expand your career and knowledge.
• Tax Compliance: Assist with timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including sales and use tax, property tax, and income tax.
• Tax Planning: Carry out tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company. Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues.
• Audit Support: Assist with the tax audits. Coordinate responses to inquiries from tax authorities and ensure compliance with audit requests.
Senior Tax Accountant Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as familiar with GAAP
• Experience with tax strategies
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
