The job "Accountant Closing & Reporting" is located in the area of Record to Report and includes in major the worldwide management and monitoring of the technical closing processes for the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements of all LANXESS legal entities under usage of the SAP module Financial Closing Cockpit. Within the Financial Closing Cockpit all technical accounting jobs for all accounting areas worldwide are managed and controlled each month on completeness execution, on errors, time deferrals. Technical errors need to be analyzed and solved together with the accounting departments and IT.
Monitoring of the technical closing processes on completeness execution, on errors and time deferrals on a monthly basis for legal entities worldwid. Evaluation and organization of solutions for errors with the legal entities, the accounting streams and IT or basing on experience with similar cases from the past under time pressure.
Organization of support requests from legal entities, accounting streams, IT, group functions with respective feedback under time pressure.
Identification of optimizing potentials with the accounting streams and IT / Contact person for legal entities in service .
Implementation of new jobs or process requirements or new legal entities together with the accounting streams and IT
Set up and communication of the monthly closing schedules
The role involves working across multiple accounting streams and legal entities, requiring solid cross-functional knowledge of technical accounting processes.The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a goal- and solution-oriented manner, even under time pressure and in ambiguous scenarios. The successful candidate will serve as a knowledge partner to various stakeholders—including accounting teams, legal entities, and IT—by providing cross-functional and technical support, promoting integrated solutions. This position offers and requires a high degree of autonomy in identifying process improvements, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to decision-making within the scope of responsibility.
Experience and Skills
Specific Education : M.Com / B.com in accounting, Finance, Buisness Administration with 3-5 years of experience in transitional accounting processes.
Work Experience : Knowledge in SAP modules FCC, FI, CO, MM and handling "Financial Closing Cockpit". Prudent knowledge of Accouting principal
