Job Description
To support our growing structure and strategic growth we are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our passionate and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity, and one where you’ll be a key player in ensuring the integrity of financial data, overseeing compliance and leading financial reporting processes. Working closely with the CFO, you will drive process improvements and provide leadership to the finance team.
What you'll be doing:
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations (BAS, CAS, FBT)
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of the 3-way financial model
Oversee Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments
Provide mentorship to the Financial Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer
Optimise financial systems and drive process automation
Manage accounting and stock-take of fixed assets
Ensure the accuracy of inventory accounting
Prepare management reports to assist in decision making
What we're looking for:
Minimum 5yrs experience as a Financial Accountant
CPA or CA qualification with a strong technical accounting background
Proven experience in financial reporting, compliance and budgeting
Proficiency in ERP systems e.g. Pronto
Experience of working in a logistics and/or product related industry
Leadership skills to develop and motivate a high-performing team
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
