The Worley Corporate Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to complete Treasury Middle Office and corporate reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, settlement and other month end tasks. We are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and enjoys direct engagement with a variety of stakeholders and customers.
This is a key role in the team and you will have the opportunity to grow with the team and the business.
Key Accountabilities
Regular
• Perform and oversee month end closing activities with a primary focus on balance sheet reconciliations but also including suspense review, recurring journal posting, P/L analysis, HFM validations
• Liaison, analysis and solutioning for
• intercompany mismatches, accounting issues, tax, round robin, audit confirmation, etc.
• queries from Group Finance and Management reporting team
• Conduct monthly variance analysis between actual P/L and planning for corporate entities
• Preparation of treasury reporting analysis to keep track of debt movement, foreign exchange
exposure, interest revenue and expenses, cashflow, facilities, cash position, etc
• Performance rights reconciliation, Hedge reserves reconciliation.
Ad Hoc
• Review and consolidate annual budget and reforecasting for treasury operating cost.
• Manage CAPEX schedule for capitalised borrowing cost / bank facilities and amortisation.
• Engage, and lead discussions with Tax for tax queries, annual tax return, WHT, provision review, transfer pricing issues / reporting requirements
• Prepare annual financial statements for audited entities where required
• Assist in group- and local audits for treasury reporting, annual statutory audit filings
• Annual / Quarterly billing exercise for captive insurance and letter of credit (bank guarantees)
• Lead and participate in projects and process improvement initiatives as required / directed
• Prepare quarterly management accounts for debt covenant analysis and engagement with Front Office
• Annual rollover for intercompany loan principal and interest capitalization
Job Specific Knowledge
• 7 - 10 years of similar experience working in a large complex organization for statutory reporting.
• Medium/Advance Excel skills but familiarity with ERP and BI (Business Intelligence) environments, specifically Quantum and Hyperion a plus.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience with expertise in balance sheet reconciliation processes
Industry Specific Experience
• Knowledge of financial services, treasury products, consulting projects/processes a plus
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
• Relevant tertiary qualifications Degree/Diploma in Accounting
IT/System Skills
• Medium/Advance Excel skills but familiarity with ERP and BI (Business Intelligence) environments, specifically Quantum and Hyperion a plus.
People Skills
• Able to confidently engage with internal customers and key stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of reporting and information requirements.
• Experience leading a small team
• A team player, dedicated team member with effective inter-personal skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills and pays attention to the details
• Strong deadline-driven and problem-solving mindset
