Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant...
In this role, you will:
• Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions
• Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and research
• Provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development
• Provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports.
• Perform the daily and monthly lease reconciliation at the instrument level to compare GL balances versus Infolease balances to ensure there are no discrepancies and identify the logic on open items.
• Ensure month end final recon is to have $0 ABS variances on all instruments.
• Preparation of MJEs, Batch Creations, and post the batches without compromising on quality and timeliness.
• Work late night on Day 1 & 2 in order to posting the journals and close the books.
• Maintain the SOP accuracy and enhancement on quality.
• Support team as and when needed in order to maintain work accuracy and quality.
• Maintain better collaboration with Team and Onshore.
• Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control.
• Articulate the impact of policy changes to management within business group or enterprise
• Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with the company's internal controls policies
• Apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultant
• Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business
• Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and may support implementation of key risk initiatives
• Communicate and provide consultation regularly with more experienced stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Required Qualifications, US:
• 12+ years of Finance, Lease Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Required Qualifications, International:
• Experience in Finance, Lease Accounting ASC 842, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting, Reconciliation, Risk Reporting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA with 12-15 years of experience in Finance & Accounting Significant experience in preparing end to end reconciliations/financial reporting
• Understand IFRS, US GAAP and ASC
• Liaise and effectively present owned processes to auditors, other teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• General ledger experience
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and/or operations
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ability to trace and investigate transactions to resolve questionable data and apply corrective actions when necessary.

• Good Team Player and most importantly is self-starter.
• Experience with effective written and verbal communications with an onshore team
• Ability to track deadlines and submissions on time
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
• Experience with Oracle, Essbase, Alteryx, will be an added advantage
