About the team
Our Group Accounting team is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the Wesfarmers Group accounts, management and improvement of finance systems, accounting and taxation matters for the Corporate Office, as well as providing a source of expertise for the Wesfarmers Group.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Team Leader - Corporate Accounting, this senior role will:
Maintain the accounting records for the Wesfarmers Limited corporate entities
Prepare monthly reporting and analysis
Prepare budgets and forecasts
Perform half year and year end reporting requirements
Document accounting positions and processes
Work closely with the Corporate Accountant and review work as required
Act as a key finance partner to senior leaders providing insights and budget management support
Provide ad-hoc reporting and support with project work as required
What you’ll need
Significant experience working in a similar accounting role within a corporate or professional services environment (preferably audit / accounting advisory)
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (TechnologyOne / FinanceOne, SAGE and Onestream would be highly advantageous)
Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a drive for delivering results
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively influence stakeholders
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team as required
Tertiary qualifications in a Commerce or Business related discipline
CA/CPA/CIMA accredited
Nice to have’s
Experience in an ASX environment accounting for share-based payments and dividends will be highly regarded

The Corporate Office provides corporate services and support to the autonomous businesses within the Wesfarmers Group, enabling the achievement of Group objectives. It leads capital allocation and portfolio management for the Group and focuses on leveraging and enhancing the Group’s reputation to support attraction and retention of talent, securing investment opportunities and maintaining a low-cost capital.
