Your opportunity:

As our valued Senior Group Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in support the month end and external reporting governance. You will be working closely with the Group Financial Reporting Managers to ensure and improve consistency, timeliness and accuracy of internal financial reporting and accounting across the group. Your role will span across financial governance activities, consolidation, cash flow reporting, half-yearly/yearly external reporting and other regulatory reporting obligations and project/initiative activities.

You'll make impact by:

Group consolidation and financial governance

Owning the general ledger governance and maintenance process and activities across the Group (including period close processes, chart of account maintenance).
Preparation and review of consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet reports as the source of truth for wider finance, as required for month end analysis.
Supporting the Group Financial Reporting Managers to monitor balance sheet reconciliation governance controls, including process improvement and standardisation and deep dive meetings. Involvement in the preparation and presentation of the monthly group balance sheet movements and analysis.
Own the end-to-end process for group related entities, transactions and balances (e.g. accounting for intercompany transactions and balances, elimination entities), including the development and maintenance of reconciliations and other supporting documentation for relevant entities across the group.
Statutory and regulatory reporting

Planning, developing and delivering external financial reporting requirements at half-year and year-end, including the preparation and coordination of group related note disclosures, such as cash flow statement, parent entity and deed of cross guarantee.
Assisting in managing and co-ordinating the year-end audit process with the external auditors including ensuring timely delivery of required information, escalating issues as required.
Supporting the Group Financial Reporting Managers to meet local reporting requirements of its subsidiaries in foreign jurisdictions.
Preparation and coordination of financial and regulatory reporting, such as ACCC, ABS and ACMA requirements across the group
Supporting the Financial Control and wider Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis requests as required from time to time
In carrying out the above responsibilities

Seeking to continuously improve the efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of the processes and modelling.
Developing and driving high levels of financial integrity through high quality reporting and analysis.
Preparing and enhancing succession documentation and processes for these tasks.
What you’ll bring:

A good understanding of and experience in working with Oracle, Jedox and Workiva is beneficial, but not required —this can be learned on the job.
CPA/CA or equivalent qualification
Experience in financial reporting and accounting standards
A desire to develop financial capabilities to operate and report in complex consolidations and entity structures.
Demonstrate high attention to detail and can relentlessly drive accuracy and completeness but also be able to see the bigger picture.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to succinctly summarises for relevant stakeholders.
Results focussed and strong cross-team project management capability, able to manage numerous individual contributors to deliver against tight deadlines.
Analytical and inquisitive attitude with the ability to identify key financial drivers and trends.
Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills, able to robustly review and challenge assumptions.
Aptitude and drive for seeking continuous process improvement and innovation.
