Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Marketing Strategist to lead strategic marketing efforts within BNY’s Clearing and Corporate Trust businesses. This role is instrumental in developing compelling messaging, go-to-market strategies, and content that drive business growth and reinforce our market position. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient, collaborative marketing leader with exceptional writing skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex business themes into engaging marketing campaigns.
This is a contract opportunity focused on launching and scaling product marketing initiatives in a fluid and fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with product managers, marketing stakeholders, and design teams to bring strategic campaigns to life—helping BNY elevate its presence in the Corporate Trust space through both digital and event-based channels. Remote work is possible for those not near a BNY office.
Key Responsibilities:
Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies and messaging for Clearing and Corporate Trust products aligned to commercial goals and business priorities.
Sales Enablement Content: Lead the creation of high-impact collateral, including use-case content, presentations, and product overviews, to support the sales lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product managers, marketers, content creators, and external agency partners to coordinate and execute multi-channel campaigns.
Campaign Development: Work with internal and external stakeholders to launch marketing campaigns around new themes and offerings—ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with business objectives.
Digital & Social Content: Write compelling content for web and social media, supporting thought leadership and demand generation efforts across multiple platforms.
Internal Toolkits & Resource Hubs: Build and maintain a suite of sales and marketing tools that help internal teams articulate the value proposition of Clearing and Corporate Trust services.
Concept-to-Execution Collaboration: Work with design teams and content processors to translate marketing concepts into final web and campaign-ready assets.
Data & Metrics: Align initiatives with marketing KPIs and provide feedback loops to leadership on performance and impact of marketing activities.
Strategic Insight: Partner with leadership to understand business goals and deliver marketing solutions tailored to audience needs and platform nuances.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in product marketing, with a proven track record of driving B2B marketing strategy in financial services.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Excellent writing and content development skills, with ability to distill complex topics into engaging, value-driven messaging.
Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional campaigns and building collaborative relationships across departments.
Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate marketing strategy into actionable recommendations and assets.
Strategic thinker with experience aligning content and messaging with broader campaign themes and commercial goals.
Comfortable working on new products or initiatives with minimal precedent—capable of owning end-to-end marketing execution.
Experience working with design teams, marketing operations, and digital content processors.
Preferred Experience:
Understanding of Clearing, Corporate Trust, or broader capital markets and financial services landscape.
Familiarity with Workfront for marketing project management.
Working knowledge of Canva for content layout or quick-turn marketing deliverables.
Experience working with or managing external marketing agencies.
Exposure to event marketing and supporting thought leadership initiatives through social content and digital channels.
Prior success developing content for early-stage initiatives or new messaging frameworks.
Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to ask critical questions that improve campaign direction and business alignment.
Financial services or FinTech background preferred.
