Senior Project Accountant
Location: North York, ON
Salary: $105,000$115,000 CAD
Type: Full-Time, In-Office

They are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support financial operations across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate development projects
Prepare monthly financial reports, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Track and record project revenues, management fees, and interest
Prepare monthly construction draws and coordinate with cost consultants and lenders
Maintain and update project budgets, change orders, and forecasts in the accounting system
Work with project teams to review invoices, purchase orders, and perform variance analysis
Reconcile bank and trust accounts and manage project distributions and contributions
Prepare and submit compliance reporting to lenders, government bodies, and joint venture partners
Ensure compliance with ASPE or IFRS and internal accounting policies
Requirements
CPA designation (required)
4 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in real estate development or construction
Strong understanding of full-cycle project accounting and financial reporting
Proficient with accounting systems (experience with Yardi, Jonas, or similar is an asset)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments
