Scan Global Logistics seeks a detail-oriented and organized Senior Tax Accountant, based in Seattle WA. This position is responsible for calculating and remitting State, City, and Local taxes and coordinating with external parties for Federal taxes and compliance functions for the US and Canadian entities.
Essential Functions

• State and Local Tax Calculations and Filing
• Revenue
• Use Tax
• GST/HST
• Others as required
• Coordination with Registered Agent and External CPAs for Annual Business Reports and Federal filings
• Review of Staff Accountant Compliance Reporting
• Regulatory Compliance (such as Business Licenses, Business Personal Property Tax filings)
• General Ledger Posting
• Tax Accruals
Competencies
• Analytical Detail
• Strong Taxation and Compliance Knowledge
• Strong Accounting Transaction & Reporting Knowledge
Supervisory Responsibilities
Minimal – review of Staff Accountant work
Work environment
Climate controlled office
Physical Demands
Lifting less than 10 pounds irregularly; sitting frequently at desk and computer work
Required education and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a focus on taxation with 5-7 years of tax accounting experience
• OR 7-+ years of relevant experience
Preferred experience
• Freight Forwarding or Transportation industry experience
• Canadian and US tax experience
