Job Title: Tax Senior
Reports to: Tax Partner and Tax Manager
Job Summary: The Tax Senior participates in and leads staff on tax engagements. The Tax Senior will prepare US corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Salary Range and Benefits: Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits
Hours Required: 40 hrs
FLSA Status: Exempt

Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
Prepare international informational tax returns.
Assist with tax provision preparation.
Assist with tax planning and tax consulting projects.
Assist with tax research memo for clients with analysis and application of IRC sections and regulations.
Represent client in front of the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
Dedicated to superior client service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
2 - 4 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
Solid accounting skills.
Good understanding of federal & state income taxes.
Education and Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in any field AND a Master’s degree in accounting.
Advanced degree is preferred.
Actively working toward CPA certification, if not already obtained.
