This is a unique opportunity within NZ’s largest eCommerce retailer. As our new Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for

The responsibilities of planning, designing, managing, executing, and reporting on both manual and automated testing practices.
Utilizing appropriate tools and techniques while adhering to established process standards and industry-specific regulations.
Guiding and mentoring fellow testers, striving to enhance existing testing processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance chapters.
Managing frequent releases, especially in agile environments from initiation to deployment along with complete traceability
Facilitating triage of production issues and ensuring collaboration with relevant squads/teams affected

What you’ll bring | Hei koha

Working in our highly collaborative environment, you’ll be tasked with not only testing but also engaging with a variety of teams-from technical to functional.

To be great in this role, you will need to demonstrate

A strong foundation in testing principles and excellent communication skills.
Experience with any automation tools including Specflow, Playwright, or Selenium.
Proficiency in querying databases using SQL.
Proficiency in performance testing and data driven testing approach (will make you stand out from the crowd!)
Confidently perform API testing using tools like Postman, or Swagger.
A proven ability to manage stakeholders and contribute to practice-level initiatives.

As a Senior Test Engineer you'll bring in:

Practical experience in test automation
Familiarity with Azure DevOps test management
Proficiency in operating and overseeing test automation pipelines within Azure DevOps
Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and observability techniques to derive insights from failures, test coverage, and device coverage
